Year 1 Penguins

Miss Horrobin set a challenge for the Penguin class this week. Could they design and make a space outfit for a class toy. Here are three of the finished products.

This term, Penguins have put on their space helmets and become “Super Space Cadets.” We have already learnt a lot about Space – and even performed a class assembly for our Mums and Dads!

Year 1. We have been finding out about all the things that make us unique. Remember your footprint? We thought of 5 things we are good at. Can you write some of them on our wall?

A big thank you to Miss Hulme for organising a “super” trip to the Rugby League Grand Final!  What a fabulous time Old Moat had at Old Trafford tonight. We all got really into the spirit of it, chose a team to support and painted our faces! Everyone waved their flags and cheered as loud as they could. What a shame Miss Welsby wasn’t a fan of the vuvuzelas!! Congratulations on your win Wigan Warriors - you certainly put a smile on Miss Welch’s face.  Better luck next year Miss Hulme (and Leeds Rhinos of course!!).
